The Fornax cluster of galaxies, numbering 58 in all lies some 62 million light years away in the constellation Fornax and with its southern boundaries crossing into Eridanus. It has an estimated mass of 7x10E13 solar masses making it the second richest galaxy cluster within 100 million light years. It covers an area of the sky about 6 degrees across or 28 sq degrees.
NGC 1365 is a double-barred spiral galaxy visible in the upper right of this image.
