Flindersia australis - Teak/Crow's Ash
Family: Rutaceae

Magnificent tree with spreading crown over 10m but up to 40m in subtropical rainforest.
Foliage is shed or thinned from the branches on which the white flowers sprout, sometimes producing the sight of a tree half in flower, half in leaf.
The robust woody star-shaped pods hang on the tree intact for some months after opening.
The grey-brown bark sheds in distinctive woody scales which leave depressions.
Bird attracting.

Adaptable to most soils and tolerates full sun.
The papery seeds germinate quickly if fresh.
