Beautiful flowering tree 8-10m.
Attractive red older leaves.
White or pink fringed flowers.
Blue/black fruits and a favourite of currawongs and bowerbirds.
Hardy.
Lives on the margins of subtropical, warm-temperate and littoral rainforest.
The usual habit is slender with a sparse crown of narrow leaves but some are broad-leaved and dense and with pink flowers.

Cultivation
Seed is very slow to germinate and is best left in dryish compost for 2 years or more.
